Show Notes

Other Geeky News

My Current Plans for this Podcast

I’m hoping to devote a half hour every weekday to posting a podcast. Here are my intended themes for each day (if there’s an interesting topic/news that day, I’ll talk about that also):

  • Marvel Monday: we focus on comic books, not just Marvel but also DC, Image, etc.
  • Tuesday Night Movie Club: new DVDs usually come out on Tuesday, so I’ll talk about those, and review a movie that recently got released.
  • What I’m Watching Wednesday: I’ll focus on TV shows, including The Walking Dead, The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Throwback Thursday: I’ll talk about an older geeky movie or comic book, or whatever comes to mind that came out a few years ago.
  • Force Friday: Star Wars baby! Although I’ll probably be talking about Star Wars news throughout the week, I’m hoping to focus on Star Wars every Friday.

If you enjoyed this podcast…

If you enjoyed this podcast, please help support it by buying geeky t-shirts and other stuff at GeekSwag. To get free shipping, go to and enter the promo code TDK at checkout. In honor of the Star Wars women, here’s our geeky shirt of the day–yup, that’s my Leia samurai mash-up. If she was in feudal Japan and survived to break all the patriarchal rules, she would indeed be a shogun.

And if you like cats and want to donate to a good cause, please consider sending a PayPal gift of any amount to Making Biscuits Cat Rescue. This is just a little bit of what they do:

Even if you donate JUST ONE DOLLAR, that dollar will buy a can of tuna that a rescuer can feed a stray cat, to help get the cat in a humane trap, so it can be taken to a low-cost shelter to be checked out medically and spayed/neutered. Just one dollar will help prevent unnecessary kittens being born and help with overpopulation.

If you give just one dollar, you’ll feel good about yourself. Promise.

Why I Do This

The Daily Knight and GeekSwag are my passions, and I do it because I truly love doing it, because I truly love geek stuff, making goofy t-shirt designs, and talking about geeky stuff, especially Star Wars. I’m able to pay my bills with my separate consulting business, and so I donate 100% of whatever I make on The Daily Knight and GeekSwag to nonprofits such as Making Biscuits and any charities that need help in times of crisis. Thank you for visiting.
