    • No Jeremy Renner
    • Also starring Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones
  • August 5 – Suicide Squad
    • Comic Con Trailer:
    • Yes, it’s PG-13, even when Harley Quinn feels like she’s doing a Hannibal Lecter imitation in that prison cell
    • There was barrage of photos during summer but nothing recently since they wrapped filming in August
  • October 7 – Gambit (20th Century Fox) – everything is up in the air, may be moved to 2017
  • November 4 – Doctor Strange (Marvel/Disney)
    • Stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, and Mads Mikkelsen.  Are you friggin’ kidding me?!!!
    • Directed by Scott Derrickson, whose movies include Exorcism of Emily Rose and Sinister. If you thought Netflix’s Jessica Jones was dark, just wait….
  • November 18 – J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
  • December 16 – Star Wars: Rogue One

In Summary

  • 5 Marvel movies (3 from Fox Studios, 2 from Marvel Studios)
  • 2 DC movies
  • A Star Trek movie and a Star Wars movie
  • I’m looking forward to most: Star Wars: Rogue One (of course), then Deadpool because I think that’ll be the most unique and it’s the only R rated movie (maybe Doctor Strange will be a hard-R?), then Suicide Squad even though it’s now a PG-13, the Batman v. Superman, hoping it’ll surprise me with how awesome it is. Please Jesse Eisenberg, don’t let us down….

Getting Ready for The Force Awakens next week

  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens is The Bachelorette. The new Star Trek Beyond trailer will be showing along with The Force Awakens. Other potential trailers showing with Star Wars:
    • Batman v Superman
    • Captain America: Civil War
    • Deadpool
    • X-Men: Apocalypse
    • The Jungle Book
  • I’m seeing it FIRST in 2D in a large screen because it’s brighter in 2D, then watching it in IMAX 3D a couple days later, and after the crazy Star Wars weekend is done, I’ll probably see it a 3rd time with my parents and sitting in Cinemark Luxury seating. I will probably see it a bunch of other times, but that’s the immediate plan right now.
  • Depending on scheduling and if we can get the giveaway t-shirts done on time, we at GeekSwag are doing this:

And if you like cats and want to donate to a good cause, please consider sending a PayPal gift of any amount to Making Biscuits Cat Rescue. Even if you donate JUST ONE DOLLAR, that dollar will buy a can of food that a rescuer can feed a stray cat, or help get the cat in a humane trap so it can be taken to a low-cost shelter to be checked out medically and spayed/neutered. Just one dollar will help prevent unnecessary kittens being born and help with overpopulation. If you give just one dollar, you’ll feel good about yourself. Promise.
