  • Keep everything a secret up until the movie’s debut
  • Seamlessly integrate various ethnicities

  • Give us space ships
  • Be politically correct
  • Explain what happened during the 30-year gap between Episode VI and now, WHILE setting up the storyline for the next movie, WHILE trying to keep everything relatively sensible, WITHOUT making it slow and boring, WHILE keeping us thoroughly entertained for two hours and 16 minutes.
  • Keep the cast, crew, marketing team, and Disney executives happy and enthusiastic
  • And do all of this for $200 million dollars.
