Star Wars: Rogue One Trailer

  • Almost feels like a do-over of the battle scenes in A New Hope.
  • Felicity Jones–have NO idea what to expect, and that’s a good thing.
  • Those who wanted to see more Mon Mothma in Return of the Jedi will finally get it.
  • Feels like Mad Max: Fury Road meets Edge of Tomorrow
  • Friggin’ Death Star satellite dish!
  • Is she double agent? Triple agent?
  • Cleaner than what I thought it would look like, but then again it’s only a trailer.
  • Admiral in the white tunic? Thrawn?
  • Forest friggin’ Whitaker!
  • “What will you do when they catch you? What will you do if they break you? If you continue to fight, what will you become?”
  • Donnie Yen with bo staff.
  • Ominous Force theme music.

Quick Notes

  • Star Wars officially came out on Blu-Ray/DVD on Tuesday and everybody took pictures of what they bought. It’s like every day is Force Friday. Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) condescending meme.

  • Doctor Strange new pictures. I would like to see Cumberbatch’s attitude similar to how he was in Star Trek Into Darkness, and Ejiofor similar to how he was in Serenity.
  • Cloak and Dagger ABC Family TV series: prediction–its gonna fail because the source material is closer to rated-R than family-oriented Disney. Feels like it will be a more story for younger people, like CW’s The Flash.
  • Agents of SHIELD last Tuesday was the best episode of the season. They focused on telling the story and action, and nothing on Daisy’s relationship/EMO problems. Nice foreshadowing and going full circle with the robin sculptures, feels similar to Twelve Monkeys movie and Denzel Washington’s Deja Vu movie.
  • The Walking Dead latest episode was awesome until the teaser ending. They had a teaser ending in the previous episode also. When they do have the reveals, I won’t care anymore.

“Geek” Parody Song Explained

When you were here last night
I couldn’t look you in the eye
Your cosplay was perfect
My saber was light

You stood like a Lara
Three hours in line
Then you quoted Uhura
You freaking quoted Uhura!

But I’m a geek, I’m a weirdo,
What the hell am I doing here?
I don’t belong here.

I don’t care about cool
I want a three-day pass
I want a mint condition
I want it sealed in glass

I want you to notice
My robe is custom made
I want our own selfie
That will grade a 9.8

‘Cause I’m a geek, I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I flying here?
I can’t afford here.

Oh, oh

She’s hosting another panel again…
She’s interviewing Mark, Jenn, Shat, Stan…

Stan the Man….

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You’re so Comic-Con special
I wish I was special

But I’m a geek
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
But I do belong here.

I do belong here.
